Where the hell are we?!?!
As of late we've been pretty inactive. Some of us are busy with school, some have jobs, and some (including me) are waiting for the new release to get back into the game, while taking care of other things in the meantime.
Are we dead? No way. We are casual about things like this. You can expect to see more of our drunken escapades sometime soon...whether you want to or not. :)
Also, I wanted to take a chance to make something clear to new recruits:
We compete with each other mostly, or against members of other clans in private matches. The simple fact of the matter is that we are busy people and can't spend hours every day practicing. Instead of organized practices and set schedules, we grab quick duels late at night. That said, we still have some amazing players with years of experience, and can often even manage to cobble a PSL team together at the last minute. Now, despite this laid back approach to gaming, we are not looking for just any run-of-the-mill players. We have certain expectations - see the clan app tab for more details. Our hope is that someday we will have enough of a player base to start taking leagues and competitions more seriously, but right now we're happy just playin for fun. And we're pretty good at it, too. :)
Frag on!

The YA Timer poll has come to a close. While it is obviously not an end all to the debate I feel it is pretty representative of how the community feels about this "new old" issue. Most of the controversy was sparked by the submission of an actual YA timer to Quadropolis by ConMan. From the description his reasoning is that he saw an unfair advantage that most people did not know about. By releasing the timer he would be in affect "leveling the playing field". The timer and original discussion can be found here http://www.quadropolis.us/node/2467.
Some people have asked what's the point of even having a poll about it? Well there were many strong reactions on the subject, but there was really no way to tell what the consensus was. So I decided to throw this poll together to grab as many opinions as I could to solidify my stance on the subject. It appears that most people who voted seemed to be ok with them, but more people considered them cheating then the group who would use them because everyone else is. Now the question for me is knowing the poll results what action, if any, should be taken. Obviously the lines between each group is a bit blurry because of how close the votes were. We cannot just blatantly consider this a cheat and definitely cannot see it as being completely fair.
The only thing that I see as possibly helping the situation(notice I did not say resolve), is to call it before a match. Let the person know before having a versus match that your using the timer. This option has been discussed and seems pretty reasonable to me. As for me I will call it before any FFA versus match.

Here are the poll results breakdown. I solicited votes from many channels including all established clans as well as the sauer-clans channel.
19 Votes 38% | Im fine with them.
16 Votes 32%| I Consider them cheating.
14 Votes 28% | I would only use one because everyone else is.
I have left this topic open for comments so feel free to discuss, however trolling comments will be removed.
